He sat in the break room. He was thinking over the information that was just provided to him. He was lucky that no one was around when the pager went off. It would have blown his cover. This whole prison is filled with people that should be free. But until now he was never asked to free one prisoner never the less two. One would be great help to others on the out side and the other is a friend of hers so he couldn't let him stay there. The trick was getting them out with out being seen. The guards here were al ready suspicious of him because he is white but he became friends with the head of the prison by telling him he had converted. One wrong move and he would be caught. He then left the room. His shift was over.
.......
Nick and Kevin waited outside the prison hidden by bushes and the night. Sutherland would be arriving any minute.
"Kev." Nick whispered.
"What?"
"What if Sutherland did convert and he said he would meet us to capture us?" Nick said getting worried.
"Nick, don't worry. If that was the case he would have turned all of us in by now. He knows where most of the hideouts are and how we operate. He was the leader of a main section of the freedom fighters." Kevin said whispering. "He has been in there for almost 8 full months. If he was a trader then you wouldn't have been freed." Nick seemed to relax a little at what Kevin said. Just then the light went off on Kevin's watch. "His shift just ended." He said and pulled up a little to watch out for him. He was a few guards leaving and wasn't sure if Sutherland was one of them. They were all around the same height. But he noticed one lagged behind just a little bit. He watched them go though the gate and heard them talking as they walked home. He heard a set of footsteps coming closer and got his gun ready just in case. Nick looked at him worriedly not really sure what was going to happen. They both saw the man come around the bush and Kevin had his gun pointed at him.
"Raven." The man stated. Kevin lowered his gun.
"Sutherland." Kevin whispered. The man nodded and sat down next to the two men and removed the mask covering his face. Nick let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"Ok I here you got two people in there that you want out." Sutherland stated as the two men nodded. Kevin remembered him from the movies he had done before the war. Sutherland was a bit more fit and buff then he was 2 years ago. His eyes looked a bit tired and he had a few lines under his eyes but other then that he looked the same.
"Well this is the first time I have been asked to get someone out of the prison. And since one is a freedom fighter and the other is an escaped slave they have put them in the HRS the High Risk Section. Which means lots of guards and just about no escape." Sutherland stated.
"Sutherland.." Kevin was interrupted.
"Please call me Kiefer." Kevin nodded and he went on.
"How can we get them out of there then?" Kevin asked.
"It is going to take some work. I have to find a way to get in there and have the other guards distracted as well." Kiefer said looking from Kevin to Nick. "I think I have an Idea on how to do that."
"What is it?" Nick asked finally piping up.
"So you do talk!" Kiefer said smiling and laughing a little. It seemed to relax the situation. "Well I was thinking of taking another prisoner and having another guard switch his cell with out the other guards knowing about it. Once the guard who did the switch left for the night I would report a prisoner missing. That would clear the guards out of that area except for one which I would take care of."
"That's all well and good but how would u get them out? I mean they would be noticed." Kevin said worried.
"Well I was thinking about that too. Now there is a meeting room close to a side exit. Getting them to that room is easy for me since I am the Captain of my crew. I don't have to tell them a thing. If a superior officer sees me with them all I have to do is tell them that Hammad wants them and they won't stop me." Kiefer explained. "Then once they are in that room, I will report the missing prisoner then go back to the room and get them out the side door. I will need at least one of you there just in case one of them is hurt. I haven't seen them yet so I don't know."
"Won't this blow your cover in the end?" Nick asked. "I mean once they figured out you lied to them and Bri and Rachel are gone, they will know you helped them escape." Kiefer looked down then back up at the two men.
"If I am seen with them then yes, they will know I helped them escape. If some one does see me with them once I get them out I will not go back to the prison. I will go with them to the hide out. If I am not seen at all with them then I am in the clear." Kiefer said calmly.
"What about your research?" Kevin asked.
"I have enough to send to every main Freedom Headquarters. My staying there this long was trying to get the weaknesses of the leaders of the prison which I believe I have." Kiefer said.
"Then why can't you use that to get them out instead of pulling all that other stuff?" Nick asked.
"Because hen those leaders will know, that I know their weaknesses. Then al my research will be void. What I am doing is a BIG risk. Not only could all 3 of us be killed but covers will be blown and my whole operation will have not only backfired but make every single Americans lives more of a hell then it already is." Kiefer said seriously.
"What will happen?" Kevin asked.
"You don't want to know. I have to get going. Be here at 11pm tomorrow night." He said and the men nodded.
"Thank you for doing this." Nick said.
"I am doing this to get a freedom fighter out and back in to where she is needed but after meeting you two I can see those two people in there are well loved. Just be prepared tomorrow to run." Kiefer stated and nodded a good bye and put his mask back on and left. Nick and Kevin gathered their things and headed back to the hide out. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
