Kiefer Sutherland headed in for his shift as usual. He looked over who was guarding Rachel and Brian's cell.

"Ok, four guards in that section. And two more in the next hallway." He sighed. It was going to be tough. He put in a call to a new soldier. This soldier started a few days ago so he would be a gullible target. The soldier arrived moments later.

"You called for me boss?" The soldier said as he came into Sutherland's office.

"Yes I did. Number 113 has to be switched into cell 205 on the west side." Sutherland said.

"Ok sir. May I ask the reason for the move?" The soldier asked,

"No you may not. Just do your job." Sutherland said angrily. Lower soldiers weren't to ask what their orders were for. The soldier nodded his apology and left to do complete his orders. The plan was in effect and there was no turning back. He then got up and went to look in on Rachel and Brian.

Rachel and Brian sat in the cell not sure what was going to happen next. It had been along time since they were brought back to the cell and they wondered why they were being left alone. It didn't feel right but they were happy to be left alone.

"So why don't you tell me about yourself." Brian said looking at Rachel. "All I know about you is what I learned in the past week and a half."

"Well, I was born and raised on Long Island. Kind of ironic since that's the place we are trying to get too." Rachel said with a sarcastic laugh. "I have a younger sister and before all this I was going to college to get my masters in television and radio. I used to play hockey. Hum, what else do ya wanna know?" Rachel finished looking at Brian.

"Do you know if any of your family survived?" he asked cautiously.

"Not for sure. I mean I hear my sister is in Virginia along with Howie but it isn't definite and I don't know if my parents survived. Heck if we didn't go to Florida on vacation we would be safe back on Long Island." Rachel said getting upset. Brian pulled her into a hug. "The only good thing that came out of this whole nightmare is I made some pretty good friends." Rachel said pulling out of the hug and Brian smiled a little bit.

"What are we going to do?" Rachel whispered to Brian. Brian looked back at her and put an arm around her again.

"I have no idea. We just can't say anything to them." He whispered back.

"That might be easier said then done. I might crack if they torcher me to much." Rachel said looking down. She really wasn't sure if she could with stand the treatment that the guards would hand out.

"It will be ok." was all Brian could say and rubbed her arm. Just then they heard the corridor door open. Rachel and Brian scooted back to the far corner of the cell in a feeble attempt to try and hide. They saw one man looking into the cell. Since the two were sitting, this man looked very tall and big. His face was covered as usual but Rachel moticed the mans eyes. The Talaban soldiers had dark colored eyes but this man had blue eyes. They saw him open a folder look at it then look back at them. The man then wrote something down closed the folder and walked away. Brian and Rachel both relaxed at the same time then looked at each other in confusion.

"Well that was weird." Brian whispered. Rachel nodded in agreement.

"Did you see his eyes?" Rachel asked. Brian shook his head 'no'. "They were blue. I have never seen a Talabanie with blue eyes before."

"Hum that is odd but who knows." Brian whispered.

Nick woke up to the sound of a boy laughing. For a brief moment he thought he was back home and that was his brother who was laughing. He opened his eyes to realize that he was in the hide out and nothing has changed. He looked over to AJ playing with a boy about 10 or 11 years old. He looked over and saw Angel watching them as she ate some food. Nick looked to his left and saw Kevin still sleeping on the next cot. Nick got up and walked over to where Angel was sitting.

"Hey." He said sleepily.

"Hi Nicky." She smiled. "Isn't that cute?" She said looking at AJ with the little boy.

"Yea it is. Alex will make a good dad some day." Nick said smiling a little bit.

"If he ever gets to be one." Angel said sadly. Nicks smile faded.

"Don't say that. He will be one day." Nick said trying to be positive but even he didn't know if any of them would be fathers. (AN: Baylee isn't born in this story...well not yet anyway...donno how this will turn out lol) He has always wanted kids of his own but even if he could now, he doesn't want to bring a child into this kind of world. Just then Nick was brought out of his thoughts.

"Hi Nick." Nick looked down to see the boy looking up at him smiling. Nick smiled too. The boy looked so innocent.

"Hi there. What's your name?" Nick asked him.

"My name is Aaron." The boy said. "Alex said your brother's name is Aaron too!" The boy said excitedly. Nick nodded still smiling.

"Yep, I do."

"I remember you from when you used to sing." Aaron said and Nick kneeled down so he would be eye to eye with him.

"Really?" Nick said. This little conversation was keeping Nicks mind off of what was going on right above his head.

"Yea, my favorite song was 'Everybody'" He said and started to sing and dance to it. Nick laughed a little bit as he watched Aaron dancing around. He definitely missed the fans. Aaron knew almost all the dance moves. Nick was impressed and so was AJ and Angel. Since this kid couldn't have been more then 9 when the world changed. But it was great to see.

"Wow that's very good Aaron!" Nick said and started clapping. AJ and Angel clapped as well.

"Thanks. I wanna be a singer one day." He said smiling. "You know once the underground army takes back our country." Aaron said turning serious and for a brief moment that innocence was gone. But then Aaron smiled again and said "But don't you worry they will soon!" and the innocence was back in his eyes.

"Aaron come on hunny we are moving on." A woman said.

"Coming mom!" Aaron yelled back. "It was great meeting you guys! Maybe I will see you again." He smiled.

"Yea maybe we will." Nick said giving him the famous Nick Carter smile. Aaron waved good-bye to everyone and left.

"That was great to see." Nick said standing up and sitting at a table.

"Yea it was. It just sucks that the kids have to live like this." AJ said shaking his head. Angel brought over some food for Nick and put it in front of him.

"Thanks Ang." he said. "Yea, I can't wait for things to change. I'm just worried we won't make it to see that change." Nick said seriously then took a bite of a sandwich. "Where did Mike disappear to?"

"He went off to see if he could find Jen." AJ said simply.

"I can't believe she took off like that." Angel said angrily.

"Neither can I." Nick said. "What time is it?" Nick asked.

"It is 5 in the afternoon." AJ said looking at his watch.

"Ok we have 6 hours until we have to meet Sutherland." Nick said looking over at Kevin. "We will let him sleep. I don't know when he had a full night sleep last." The others nodded in agreement.
